Two years old

Just a quick note to say "Happy Birthday" to the Inventor. My little boy is two.

I am a very lucky father and husband. For my family's love and health, I am grateful.

Happy Birthday, Inventor!

What are you doing to celebrate? For some reason I was thinking that the Inventor was almost three -- I forgot that he was still so little. Hope he has a great day!

Happy Birthday, Inventor! You're six months younger than my little one... You two are at a such cute (if a bit difficult :) age!

We had a rather quiet family affair at home. When the Painter turned two, we were living in Europe. My mother came to visit. I snuck the boy out to the park for an hour, as my mom and wife decorated the house. When we returned, that was the surprise. We opened presents and had cake.

The Rocket Scientist requested a repeat of sorts, so I snuck both boys out for a walk to the playground, while she and the au pair decorated with streamers and balloons. It was fun.

Two really is a wonderful age. This boy is growing amazingly. I'm stunned at his use of the first person singular pronoun: "I want ice cream." He had his two-year checkup this morning, and I had to laugh when the doctor inquired whether he had a 50-work vocabulary yet. :)
