Wow. A colleague just pointed me to the Internet Archive's WayBack Machine. As he put it, "it's an archive of webpages from the beginning of the internet." Okay, well, not exactly, but he can be forgiven, having just turned 26 yesterday. As I've mentioned before, I've had a near-continuous webpresence since about 1994. The archive began in 1996. I did find some evidence of my pre-existence however, in an archived directory of personal webpages from my first graduate career at Rice University. Alas, my personal webpages themselves are missing. But I'm listed in the directory.
Check it out. I did find several copies of my faculty profile from a community college I taught at until 2000. Sweet.
